Central Park

The border at the north of Midtown, 59th street, is also known as Central Park South. This spectacular man-made park begins north of 59th street and covers covers 843 acres (3.4 square kilometers.) Within Central Park are large fields, dense woods, and beautiful lakes, as well as zoos, an auditorium, and skating rinks, all surrounded by pristine nature. The English Garden and charming restaurant on the lake are wonderful. To understand why New Yorkers don’t want to leave New York City, visit Central Park by yourself.
